Ram trucks are moving from the V8 Hemi of old to one of four general power trains. The latest information indicates that the new Ram 1500 EV and hybrid will reach 60 mph in times approaching four seconds or less. They provide upwards of 600 horsepower and pound-feet of torque in some configurations, and other configurations are close behind.
The current Cummins diesel cranks out 420 horsepower and 1,075 pound-feet of torque, enabling it to pull a lightly loaded semi-trailer around Overland Park. The first indication is that replacing the current Ram 3500 HD will create 1,300 pound-feet of torque or more, an astounding number for a heavy-duty light truck.
Luxury
Ram has never shirked regarding interior elegance, refinement, and comfort. The Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 all have trims that include multiple digital screens, and some have heads-up displays.

That engine doesn't drive the wheels at all; it acts as a charging station for the battery. The fully gasoline-powered Ram 1500, Ram 2500, and Ram 3500 get between 19 and 23 mpg in real-world tests at 75 mph on the highway.
