2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee Specs
The base 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee trims ship with the standard 3.6L V-6 engine that hammers out 293 horsepower. For those who want a bit more power, there’s a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder model available (and standard on higher trims) that ups the ante to 324 horsepower. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and rear-wheel drive is standard on most trims. However, if you’re someone who wants to take the Jeep Grand Cherokee off-road (and we encourage it; it’s made for it), we recommend getting one of the three four-wheel drive variants for better handling when leaving pavement behind. Max towing clocks in at 6,200 lbs., which is impressive.
Fuel economy is equally as impressive for the Grand Cherokee:
- V-6: 19 city, 26 highway
- 2.0L: 21 city, 27 highway
Usually when a vehicle has that much power, you don’t see fuel economy in the 20s, but the Jeep Grand Cherokee delivers.
2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee Interior
The 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee can either be fitted for up to five passengers as a two-row model or for up to seven as a three-row SUV model. The passenger volume, 145 cubic feet, is the same whether you choose the two or three-row version. The max cargo space is 84.6 cubic feet, which is plenty for taking along the essentials and more.
Standard upholstery is cloth, though leatherette is available. Heated front seats are also standard across all trims. Higher trims get wood accents inside the cabin, though regardless of the trim you choose, it feels comfortable, like the business center at a luxury hotel. Available premium features include Nappa or Palermo leather seating, massaging front seats, and ambient lighting.
2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee Tech
The 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee comes equipped with a standard 12.3" touchscreen infotainment system and has an available 10.3" touchscreen system for the front passenger. Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, and SiriusXM are standard connections. Available tech is equally exciting, with on-board navigation, a head-up display, and a 19-speaker McIntosh premium audio system.
You can also upgrade to a rear camera to check on the family, a wireless charging pad, and rear-seat entertainment to keep everyone happy and occupied on longer rides.
2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trims and Pricing
There are currently three Jeep Grand Cherokee trims that will be available for the 2026 model:
- 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo
- 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited
- 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit
Pricing is currently under wraps from the manufacturer, but we expect to see a starting price around $40,000, which is a slight increase from the 2025 model. However, there are some significant upgrades that we’ve covered, so this is to be expected. The 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee is set to release in late 2025 and early 2026.
